  • I’m interested in the prints. Can you tell me more about them?
All of Eugene’s prints were printed by Eugene himself or directly under his supervision during his lifetime. All were printed on archival (acid-free) papers to ensure longevity. Eugene worked in two print mediums, relief prints created by cutting images directly into wood blocks and lithographic prints created by making drawings in ink directly on limestone slabs. Of further interest, many of Eugene’s woodblocks were printed on an archival synthetic paper developed by 3M in the 1960s and marketed as "Art Fabric”. This remarkable material, similar in feel and appearance to fabric interfacing, looks exactly as bright as it did when first manufactured! Many of its unique characteristics, particularly its absorbency and its ease of cutting influenced the ways in which Eugene was able to realize his vision. If you have specific questions about a particular print or would like more details, please don't hesitate to reach out to us! We're happy to provide more information and assist with any inquiries.
